Welded fin tube, also called solid type fin tube, uses a steel or stainless-steel strip directly welded to the tube surface. These serrated or flat fins improve heat transfer efficiency much more than the bare tube. Due to the welding of the fins to the base tube, these finned tubes are often used in complex HRSG systems for heat recovery.
